“100 Years – A Labor of Love”
With this theme, we are excited to announce that Labor Day, September 2nd will be the kickoff to the 100th anniversary celebration of the founding of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. What a remarkable 100 years it has been! We have already begun preparations for commemorating this milestone event and invite you to be a part of the celebration.
One project that we are resurrecting to mark our centennial is the expansion of the St. Joseph Garden Shrine. This shrine, dedicated to St. Joseph the Worker, has been a monument to the special relationship that has been formed over the years between the parish and working men and women of Buffalo.
For a $100 donation, you, your family, friends, or organization can purchase a memorial brick engraved with your name or the name of a loved one. Were you or someone you love baptized or confirmed at STA? Were you married there? Did you graduate from St. Thomas Aquinas School? Was a deceased loved one an active member of the parish? There are so many reasons to take part in our Shrine Campaign.
Proceeds from the sale of memorial bricks will be used to do much needed repairs to the church and beautify the property and gardens.
If you or someone you know would like to purchase a memorial brick, please fill out the form below and return it to our parish office or place your order in the collection basket. With your help we will complete our St. Joseph Shrine as we pay tribute to all those who have been part of our memorable 100- year history.
